$1.1 million settlement for injured truck driver

We represented a truck driver who was injured when another truck ran into his vehicle at a loading dock. He was climbing into his tractor unit at the time, and fell to the ground. He sustained back and neck injuries, requiring surgery. We had him evaluated by vocational rehabilitation counselor, and showed that his injuries would keep him from ever driving an 18-wheeler again. We filed a lawsuit on his behalf, and days before the trial was set to begin, the insurance company paid $1.1 million to settle the case.

Attorneys' fees were $366,666.67, and litigation expenses totaled $57,600.12.  These expenses included expert witnesses in medicine, psychology, and vocational rehabilitation.
